even tho its only half time between England and Usa and they need to play 2 more games i can safely say England will not win this WK. they have some good players but as proven today the worst goal keeper of all teams.

Go Go Netherlands one less opponent to worry about.

What are you talking about?, we have got and have had some of the best goalkeepers in the world. Here are some clips to prove my point!

David Seaman - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExUX7MBk5UM

Scott Carson - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxefXTqeVi4

Paul Robinson - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dmws59X1cNg&feature=related

As an ex-goalkeeper I have to say this has nothing to do with the quality of a player. These mistakes happen, and as Stevie G. said immediately after the match, everyone knows how flakey the new ball is. I know it's a cliché, but when a striker misses the ball, everyone has a good chuckle, but there's no further harm done. When a goalie makes a mistake, well, the team loses 2 points Cheesy.

Personally I'm more worried about England's second striker, although I have to say Heskey did a lot better than expected imo. And Maff, I'm sorry, but I don't think Holland is a serious contender for the title. Not enough quality in defense in my opinion. And if Van Bommel plays, they're sure to finish at least 1 match with 10 players Wink.

i agree with you khai, Netherlands wont win the world cup. As i said before my money is on Spain. And im not to worried about van Bommel but more about De Jong. He is used to the hard play in England and is know for his charges on players. In England you get away with it at a world cup he wont.

Last World Cup Sony was offering a free television 40 inches if Italy won the world cup. A lot of people bought it, guess what happened then Wink

It's early to judge who will win the cup, considering it was the first match: for sure England has a very good potential regardless of his goalkeeper. Let's not forget that even Italy in last cup had problems with USA team.

If you buy a tv from panasonic or sony and England win the world cup, they will give you your money back, talk about taking a risk Tongue

Safe money imo.... what are the chances?

And yes the Keeper made one mistake all night and it cost England 2 points... if this is his only mistake this world cup then people will not give two shits when the final whistle is blown. If you going to make a cock up the group stages is the place to do that.

David Seaman was like 39 during korea - japan cup?
What happened to that crazy paraguay GK Chillavert?

Anyway I am pretty confident that brazil WON'T win this cup , since they are hosting the next one and FIFA wouldn't like a team to get the cup twice in a row

Germany looks pretty sharp at the moment but  I am not sure if the match vs  Australia is the best to figure out stuff
